The USA Has Gone to Hell in a Handbasket

current mood: enraged
current song: Rage Against the Machine

I wrote this as a comment in emer13's journal:

"I'm pretty close to leaving the country too, I don't think I can live here anymore.... This election has shown me something: I don't think it was cheating, or interference and it didn't come down to the Supreme Court, this election was legitimate, and I've realized that 51% country are either idiots or evil and I don't have anything remotely in common with them... I am so bitter and angry and militant that I will tell any Bush voter to their face, they are morons and are obviously too stupid to know what's good for them... "

I rarely post as you know, but I have to get this out and down in write... release it from my system. People are sheep, I could go on for pages about the harm Bush has done to our country and the harm he WILL do now that he is retaining his office, but obviously 51% of this country is too ignorant or evil to care.

Why do I say they are ignorant or evil? That's very simple, only someone who is ignorant or evil would vote for this type of man. This is not a regular election and "Boo Hoo my guy lost." This is the election that decided the direction of our country and our very well being, 2 extremely different sets of values, our foreseeable future and there was a clear answer and simple choice and yet the majority of the people in this country FUCK IT UP! Either you don't know the harm Bush is doing to you and how little he cares for any of us, or all you care about is lining your pockets with money and fuck the rest of the people. Thus the majority vote is either IGNORANT or EVIL.

I have been schooled today in the subject of American Values, and I now see clearly that we stand for:

1. Military invasion of innocent countries
2. Tax cuts to the rich and corporations that end up putting Social Security at risk
3. Religious Zealotry that leads to stifling scientific advancement and the removal of women's rights and civil liberties.
4. The destruction of the world environment
and the list continues...

I have NOTHING in common with 51% of this country... I personally think that they are each to blame for the destruction of our country and should be held accountable; and so, I have decided that any and all republican voters will be harassed and ridiculed by me until they want to kill themselves. It's my way of reducing the numbers of the Evil Empire.

What is the Evil Empire? Well the Evil Empire is the Untied States under republican rule. Two branches of our government are firmly under the control of the Evil Empire and soon The Supreme Court will be changed to "better represent out national values." As of next year Bush will have the power of a supreme dictator with the help of his lackeys in the Senate and House. We will be under the tyrannical rule of a man who cares for no one but himself and his cronies, a modern day Caesar. A dictator ruling over our republic.

My quest is to be Brutus, we all must be Brutus so that we can take down the dictator and watch their Evil Empire crumble and burn!

Our Weapon: Bush must be impeached! For what you ask? WHO CARES! It is well documented that the investigations of Pres. Clinton were completely a Republican fabrication to get the President under oath and encourage him to lie. I think we need to take a few pages from the Evil Empire's play book and start fighting fire with fire! We must find a reason or make up a reason to impeach, remove and imprison the dictator!

Until the Evil Empire has fallen, I will not reconcile with the rest of the nation. I will NOT, "Come together to support the President." I encourage gridlock and bitter venomous hatred toward all Republicans until our voices are heard and we have a fair balance of power! FUCK THEM ALL! Our Democratic Senators and Representatives need to REFUSE to work with their colleagues across the isle, I want their to be bitter dissension, I don't want the country to "heal" like these idiot politicians tell me, I only want one thing, Liberty and Freedom from the oppression of the Evil Empire!

This is my agenda and this is my cause, I shall not rest, days, nights, weeks and years I shall fight until THEY are gone!

Impeach Bush and you still get Dick.
(no pun intended... or maybe...)

So much for checks and balances in the system.

There are a loooot of angry people. and I think people will be putting up more of a fight... more letters to congress, more letters to the senate, more letters, period. Rallies galore.

In 30-something odd years, they'll be making movies about our generation being so pissed off, like our parent's generation.

But right now, I'm just gonna sigh and shake my head, because that's all I can do.

Well, I think you should narrow it down to Republicans who voted for Bush, hence your father in law, who is a "pub" and did not. ;)

I love you. I'm glad that you wrote this. :) Hope you're feeling better (I know you're not).

This is random...

I was searching livejournal.com for Tulane communities and I came across you. (Apparently you graduated from Tulane). I'm a senior in high school and Tulane is my first choice, but I also wanted the perspective of someone who has attended the college. What's it like? If you could do college again would you choose Tulane again? What are the best parts? How much better is it then high school? Anything you can tell me would be great!

Thanks.

Re: This is random...

I added you to my buddy list but you don't seem to be on, so I'll reply back to this (If you want more detailed info feel free to IM me at Schriefer MA)

Anyway, your questions:

What's it like?
Well I don't know how you'd like me to take that question, so I'll answer it in a few ways ;)
Tulane is an incredible University and an experience I will never forget. I would have to say the best formative years of my life. The university is second to none in terms of education and social life. No matter what you like to do there is something for you. Clubs abound, Greek Life, Night Life, you name it, it's there. Some programs of study are better than others, so I'd have to know what you're looking at studying, but no matter what you study, you get a degree from Tulane University and that's worth it's weight in gold right there. As for New Orleans (or NOLA as a lot of people call it) it's a great place for night life, culture and fun. I didn't want to live there for the rest of my life though, hence the reason I left. It definitely has it's problems, but it's an awesome place to be for your college years and I'm not even a partier or drinker :)

If you could do college again would you choose Tulane again?
If you can't tell.... ABSOLUTELY! :) I don't know if there are many Alumni who are more proud than I. I would do it over in a heart beat, and though I'm perfectly happy in my life now, I'd still jump at a chance to relive those years. I had an incredible amount of fun at TU and in NOLA. My friends get sick of my TU Pride sometimes :)

What are the best parts?
The professors are great, you learn a lot, the people you meet, the clubs and organizations to join. Going down to the french quarter during the day or night. Exploring... It's not perfect, but it's always a good time.

How much better is it then high school?
College (anywhere) and High School don't compare.... College is about becoming your own person, not conformity. You're on your own and you have to become an adult, especially if you're far from home. You learn a lot about yourself, you limits, who you really are. There are still jerks, and sometimes there are cliques, but that's few and far between. Mostly, people are more mature and you don't have to deal with the same bs. It still exists (that's just life in general) but you can find a group of friends that matches you and the petty stuff of HS just isn't there.

Feel free to IM me, and I hope that helped! My vote is for TU : )
